For project 3, I plan a to create a virtual restaurant in MOO format. The club will be called "Black Jack's Hollywood Bar & Grill." It will be an 80s bar where movie stars and directors from 1980s movies hang out. The setting will be a large, main room with a bar, bartender, tables, waitresses and patrons. There will be several side rooms with themes where users can interact with a few actors and actresses from a certain type of 80s comedy. Each of the characters will respond to two different speech codes. I will create many objects for decoration on the walls and at different points in the club that users can interact with.. At least one of the objects will be a hidden door to another room or rooms. 

     The 80s setting will allow me to introduce people to a culture and a time period that I am very fond of. The people and the objects will all reflect this time period. The character who will accompany the club is Black Jack, the owner. Black Jack is a heavy-set man with one too many buttons unbuttoned on his polyester shirt. He will show people around the club and introduce them to some of the characters inside. After that, users can interact further with anyone they choose. 

     My purpose for this project is to show young people who may have not fully seen 80s movies and older users who were not as interested or tuned into the culture of the period what the 80s movie genre meant to my generation. I also hope to get a nostalgic reaction from anyone in my generation who visits the club. This will be done with people, music, and MOO movie characters. I also want to gain experience in a MOO environment. The presumed audience will be college students in this class and around the university and older friends of mine that I will show it to. 

     Resources for this project will include books and web sites on movies, actors, actresses, and directors in the 1980s as well as biographical information on each character I choose to create.
